Someone said this on the news yesterday and it really resonated with me. I wish I could just act like I’m fine and all the coronavirus stuff isn’t affecting me but it really is smh. I’m trying to practice social (media) distancing because the constant information is super overwhelming. I’m not doing too good with it but all I can do is try, right?

With this playlist I hope we are able to come to Jesus with our burdens and issues that prevent us from seeing Him as most good and most holy.

I love this quote! It gave me a new perspective on music from the past and also a different lens to view current music through. A lot of older songs that I love spoke to the time that the artist was living in; their context.

I don’t know how to explain this playlist but when I set out to do something for Advent I wanted it to reflect the wide range emotions we give to God and I think in retrospect this does just that. I love that there is a diverse group of sounds in this playlist and I’m thankful they all go together in some sort of way.
