Lately I’ve been praying that the Lord give me a new song. Just like He gave the people in the old testament. A new reason to sing, ya know? Something different from the silence of suffering and something that’s super grand and beautiful like joy. I’m trusting him for it.

I made this playlist after reading Lamentations chapter 3. It was one of the scriptures in a devotional I was going through and I was taken aback by how the writer of the chapter experienced so much struggle but still hoped in God.

To me, Nipsey Hussle was/is one of the greatest figures in Hip Hop culture. I first started listening to his music eight or nine years ago. He was on the XXL magazine cover with Kendrick and J.Cole and I thought all of them were so cool.
