New // Hope - Playlist

I don’t know how to explain this playlist but when I set out to do something for Advent I wanted it to reflect the wide range emotions we give to God and I think in retrospect this does just that. I love that there is a diverse group of sounds in this playlist and I’m thankful they all go together in some sort of way. A few of these songs have been able to say certain things I’m feeling through music which is cool; I hope you enjoy! 

I wouldn’t say this is the best “Advent” playlist, I’m feeling Easter vibes instead but it does point to Jesus so that’s a good start! To me this Advent season has been about realizing it’s not a bad thing that I’m human, messy, not perfect, and that I make mistakes. Jesus knew that I would feel like this. He came into the world as a baby and lived out a very human experience so he can be a perfect Savior who understands what His people are going through. So in that respect this playlist is a good representation of the up and down nature of this life. But even through the ups and downs it’s still somewhat beautiful because Christ makes it beautiful. Somehow in His divine nature, God has put together beautiful stories for each of us. Stories full of situations that point us back to Christ and remind us we need someone outside of ourselves who has overcome everything we are going through to provide a path to salvation.
